The bottom floor has an open plan for the kitchen, dining and living space with sliding doors enabling a flexible use of the space. In the centre a new fireplace, that can both be viewed from the living room and the entrance hall, was installed. The façade was opened up over the whole width of the house and connected to a new terrace and the garden. The terrace is set up at the hight of the living space. Parts of it have been created to hold plants so that the living space can enjoy the green gardens outside.

On the first floor the existing rooms with original detailing have been kept and a new bathroom has been added. On the top floor the attic has been converted to an open space plan with a sleeping, a working and a bathroom area. The roof structure was, thanks to the client himself being a very talented construction engineer, reinforced in such a way that the horizontal wooden beams, normally needed to stiffen the structure, could be taken out. Thereby a beautiful space liking a chapel has been created.
