Private house conversion in Bergfelde, Berlin, 2003–2004
Realarchitektur planned alterations to a 1920s house at the northern edge of Berlin. The exterior remains; the reorganisation of the interior is catalysed by a single architectural intervention. This intervention enabled a completely new layout to the plan. It created new space within the house that before hand had been used up by unnecessary hallways and staircases.
The project was developed for building in three phases.
